Baba Khan Kabab House in Glen Oaks is a straightforward Pakistani and Indian restaurant that draws in a crowd mostly looking for takeout, though a few choose to dine in. Located on Union Turnpike, this spot feels less like a polished dine-in establishment and more like a neighborhood kitchen that’s focused on hearty, familiar flavors rather than flashy presentation.

The menu leans heavily on kababs and tikkas cooked with traditional spices, alongside staple breads like naan, roti, and their notable lachcha paratha, which is fried until flaky and golden. These breads pair naturally with their kababs, often making the meal feel genuinely close to home-cooked Pakistani or North Indian fare. Among the choices, the chicken tikka boti, reshmi kababs, and the daily biryani specials stand out for those wanting a satisfying, spice-balanced meal without overwhelming heat.

The ambiance inside doesn’t offer much in the way of decor or climate control, and some customers have pointed out that the place can feel a bit warm or on the modest side regarding seating comfort—clearly, it’s a spot more geared toward quick lunches or casual dinners than long, leisurely meals. Service is friendly, if somewhat reserved, with a focus on efficient order fulfillment and accommodating special meal requests, especially for larger orders.

This restaurant suits locals who appreciate authentic, home-style Pakistani and Indian dishes on the go or for casual family meals. It’s best visited outside of peak lunch hours to avoid the limited indoor seating crunch, particularly since many customers opt for takeout. If you’re looking for something satisfying and familiar without the fuss of fine dining, Baba Khan delivers a plainspoken experience centered around traditional flavors and generous spice blends.

Giving them 5 stars for the delicious food! But just one gentle note to the kind ladies serving food: a smile will take you a long way. We ordered chicken charga (missed taking pic), paya and beef bihari kabab. Charga and paya were exceptionally good. Perfectly marinated, not too hot or too plain. Felt like I’m eating food cooked by family. Bihari kabab was a little dry, could be better. It’s a nice, cozy, family owned restaurant with lots of potential cuz their food is good. But I think the reason they are underrated with stars in review is because of customer service and ambiance. Greet people with smile and keep the place clean, you’ll have over flow of people here in no time. Good luck! We plan to return.

Picked up food for my friends family and they liked it.One star less for not keeping the restaurant clean and not providing AC in summer. The portion are small & very expensive almost $13 per 16 oz. deli container

Having been dining and taking out from them for several years. Loved gola kebabs, biryani, chapli kebabs, naans and every dish made. Staff is very helpful, cooperative and deliver exceptional food. Even when I order in advance for any large orders, they really prepare delicious meals. Thank you Sabeen for making this place excellent

This was a great experience in terms of food. We had naan, chicken kabobs and chicken biryani rice. Rice was delicious, great taste and enough pieces of chicken and rice to share. Chicken kabobs were delicious, juicy and tasty, naan fresh and warm served with a white and green sauce. It’s mostly a takeout place as we noticed, but very welcoming.
